A Delightful Read

This book is a wonderful read. It's very well-written, covering various aspects of Four Pillars of Destiny based on research data gathered from the author's experience in consultations. As it aims to answer some of the questions that arised from his first two books, it has more breadth than depth, however, we will be able to refer to his previous books for more technical details.
A few possible remedies are given in the book, the appropriateness of which depend very much on one's situation and Bazi chart. Feng Shui is one of them. Additionally, positive outlooks, creating 'suffering' for oneself during challenging cycles, and understanding life better with the guidance of Yi Jing - more than a divination tool - are solutions that can go hand in hand. I particularly enjoy the chapters on death and supplementary way of reading Four Pillars using palaces. Together with the concept of Ten Gods and special stars covered in the first book, it can be very effective in rendering a more complete picture of one's destiny.
Other chapters touch on good and evil people, young talents, and how to see difficulty of a woman giving birth. 'Eating God Controlling Killings' classification is revisited to demonstrate that a chart with no clear leading flow can be successful as well when the 'useful god' is intact. Just like his previous work, this book doesn't lack any interesting case studies which serve as great anecdotal evidences. Highly recommended.

Great reference

This book is one of the reliable sources on Bazi (Four Pillar) available in English. Thanks to Jerry's contributions and he has certainly done a lot for us (non-Chinese educated people) who are interested in Bazi (Four Pillar) learning. There are lots of invaluable information in this book and it is a very good reference. Could tell that a lot of research had been done. The chapter on "characteristics of a birth chart" is very interesting. e.g. how do we spot a chart with problems of producing a child, possibility of remarriage, going to jail and many more. Using the technique and case study analysis from the book, some of the doubts of the charts I had encountered before had been clarified. I couldn't agree more on the controversies and issues in Four Pillar stated in the book such as "Lunar vs Solar" etc. Looking forward to Jerry's next book.

I have read the other books from this author and I think he's a professional consultant who knows how to write and explain his knowledge. I extensively recommend this new book to learn the interpretation method of Four Pillars of Destiny.
